4th Graders learn about contour line in this bottle stillife project. Students choose 4-5 containers that are in the Art room. The students work on filling the space and drawing each object by focusing on the outside edges of each object. I have the students draw the objects with dissecting lines through other objects. When the contour is completed the students color in each space with a different color, trying not to have the same colors touching. This Project has also been done using cool colors for the background and warm colors for the bottles. The target goals are: Balance, Space, Line, and Color.
