Exploratory Art is a year long program where the students are introduced to a broad spectrum of mediums.

HOW WE DO IT:

 

A.)  Students are given a lesson plan, with step by step objectives to guide them through an art process.

 

B.)   Students are shown how to do a project by watching a demonstration.

(Assistance is given to students through each step of project)

 

C.)  Drawing exercises, handouts and sketchbook assignments are given to students.

 

ASSESMENT:

 

A.)  Daily evaluation by instructor on cooperation and focus during class time

B.)   One on one evaluation for ongoing projects, during the art process.

C.)  Whole class discussions and critiquing of project as a whole.

D.)  One on one sketchbook critic. (based on assignments, completion, craftsmanship)

E.)   Student’s written self evaluation
