Students in the art exploratory class designed and painted a Metro Bus Shelter. The students worked on the project for 6 weeks. When the mural was installed by Metro the students were able to watch the art work go up. The Bus shelter is located on our school block. (the corner of 18th and Aloha Street)            More Photos

During the 2005/2006 school year, St. Josephs Middle School Art Exploratory Students designed this mural with the vision of an enchanted forest. The students spent their time developing designs using borders and bold shapes to create these colorful works of art.

Focusing on line, shape and color, the students spent a total of 18 classroom hours each to complete the mural project. They worked in small groups and problem solved throughout each step. Although this project was challenging at times, each student employed their own creative talents while working together as a team creating this visually appealing installation.

St. Joseph’s School is proud of the art exploratory student’s accomplishments.  Each student has learned a lesson in creativity the value of giving something wonderful to the community where they live, work and learn.
