Monochromatic Painting
Students draw a contour line composition of a motorcycle. Once the drawing is complete they chose one color that they will mix with black and white. They learn about making tints and shades which in turn teaches them about light and shade. Some of the vocabulary they have knowledge of at the end of this project are: Monochromatic painting, tint, shade,and value.
